My first visit—I was impressed by the friendly hosts and cleanliness of this charming local bakery. I purchased 2 containers of their potato salad after being offered a generous sample. It is so tasty that I plan to serve it at our Thanksgiving gathering! And it’s made with wholesome, safe ingredients😁. I also got 2 chocolate chip cookies for my husband. They were top quality in freshness & taste, as was the shortbread pecan gift cookie I was given. I would buy all these items again and try more! I highly recommend this bakery.

We hired Cheryl to do our daughter’s wedding cake. We went with the almond white, and it was SO DELICIOUS and moist! She had a major catastrophe when delivering the cake, but she amazingly was able to provide another cake in time, and it looked gorgeous. I don’t know how she pulled it off, but she did! We visited her bakery for a taste test beforehand, and it is really cute. She is very easy to work with and is a great baker!

I live in Rowlett, TX and just happened to see Southern Charm Bakery pop up on Facebook in Mineola, my brother Lee James lives there and his birthday was coming up on July 19th. I spoke with Cheryl she was great she took my order I was able to pay over the phone. She delivered him cupcakes and a very nice meal he enjoyed every bit of it. I was very happy since l wasn't able to be there for his 82nd birthday. Thank you Cheryl for making my brothers day. I'll definitely visit your bakery the next time I'm in Mineola and get a sweet treat. Cheryl you're the best ! 😊

I can not say enough good things about Southern Charm Bakery and Cheryl. She did my wedding cake and my groomsmen cake, and to say they were both delicious is an understatement. We had absolutely zero leftovers when it came to the cake. Both cakes were absolutely stunning inside and out. Her attention to detail and her savory flavors are what stand her out from the rest. Cheryl herself is extremely professional and amazing to work with. My whole experience with them from start to finish was wonderful. One of the best almond flavored wedding cakes I've ever had, and you must try her signature flavor wedding cake. I live over an hour away and will absolutely use Southern Charm Bakery and Cheryl for every cake I will ever need.

Okay Texas travelers, I've found another gem in small town Mineola. I dropped in to get some sourdough bread and they didn't disappoint. The bread was fresh made and tastes like my grandmother used to make. The loaf was so large they cut it for me by hand (perfectly may I say).
I could not resist the temptation of these mini-pecan pies. I'm sure they have another name, but if you can imagine a pecan pie small enough for one pecan, you get the picture. These itty bitty cakes had a buttery, flaky crust. Something I can't pull off on a full pie!
The owner came out and was so kind. She let me sample an Italian butter cookie that was so wonderful. Not too sweet, begging to be dipped in some milk or tea. Then something I'm going to have to avoid buying a dozen of every time I go in. It is a small cupcake that reminds me of hostess dingdongs, as it is a dark chocolate with a ring white swirl design on the top. She pointed out that this is hand made with fresh ingredients. Not kidding, they are rich and delicious with a buttercream (?) filling. I could eat a dozen of these!
I decided to buy a few cake slices for me and my traveling buddy. She is a major chocoholic, so I got her the death by chocolate. Her feedback is that it was the best, richest chocolate dessert she ever had.
I got the vanilla rainbow cake. Not only wonderful flavor, but truly beautiful presentation with the rainbow colored layers.
And last but not least, peanut butter cream cheese cake. Holy cow, this was the piece de resistance. Rich, creamy, peanut buttery, chocolate undertones. I love this cake.
It was after I spiked my sugar levels to the moon, I realized, they also have sugar free, gluten free and vegan options. Next time, I'll take advantage and lower the sugar content. But there was nothing in this store that wasn't truly fabulous.

The owners are very personable and friendly. I had the chicken salad lunch special. The chicken salad, served on a large croissant, was tasty and no frills. I chose the strawberry cupcake-moist and just enough sweetness in the frosting. My dad greatly enjoyed the slice of Italian cream cake I brought him. Overall, this was a great lunch experience.

This place is fairly new to Mineola. Straight across from Brookshires. Lunch specials are $10...sandwich, drink, cupcake, chips,pickle, and potato salad. Not only VERY reasonable but the food is great! Try them out, you won't be disappointed.

The best food in Mineola! You want Italian?
OMG! 100 yr old hand made recipes that will blow your mind. Old world recipes that taste like they were made by a 5 star chef! It’s so good, especially the Sicilian pizza! It’s great hot and even better cold! Swiss Steak? Salsbury Steak? BBQ Chicken? I guarantee u aint had better…… not in Mineola. Cheese cake? Oh Lord have mercy! Cheesecake is a science to make and Cheryl is the Professor when it comes to real authentic New York Style Cheese cake! That other stuff sold in Mineola is NOT authentic cheesecake. Italian pastries? I can’t even begin to describe them without absolute mouth drooling. Lastly….. pricing?
Ive told Cheryl and Steve they need to charge more for what they make at Southern Charm. Where can u go for under 15.00 and get a full blown home cooked meal that is NOT can made and preprepared and left frozen to thaw. No place in Mineola and I doubt Tyler or Lindale for that matter. They r gonna need a bigger place in 6-9 months. Once the word is out she wont be able to accommodate the clientele she is gonna have!

I can’t tell y’all how much I love this place. I’v I’ma regular now. I started out by getting a cake from them last minute for my birthday. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. But on top of that I don’t believe I’ve tried anything there that i didn’t like. From their cakes, cookies, danishes and their daily home cooked food. It’s out of this world. But that Tiramisu they have there is the best I’ve ever had. I always look forward going there and trying singing new.

I feel Mineola is so lucky to have a little bakery in town now! These folks are so sweet and accommodating not to mention everything I’ve had from there is amazing. I just love to go in there and not only eat but visit!! Also EVERYTHING is homemade from the cakes, cookies and food!!! Even the buns on those burgers as well…she makes fresh bread, croissants and Jalapeno/cheese bread! They serve a lunch special each day that is very reasonably priced so if you haven’t been in yet, pay them a visit! You can also purchase fresh tuna or chicken salad to take home with your fresh bread!❤️❤️❤️.
